Visas

 

There is no nationality restriction for entry into Colombia. Argentina, Austria, Barbados, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Chile, Denmark, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain: visa except for nationals of the following countries who stay up to 90 days in Colombia exclusively required for tourism , United States, Finland, France, Great Britain, Guatemala, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Poland, Republic of Korea (South Korea), Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Trinidad and Tobago , Uruguay, Venezuela and foreign residents of Canada and the United States.

No temporary visitor visa or entry permit is required when you try to transit through the country for up to 24 hours. If they come only for sightseeing, foreigners from countries with no restriction to enter Colombia can stay in the country for up to 90 days, counted from the date of entry indicated on the immigration stamp on the passport stamped the official point of entry.

Vaccines

Vaccines depend on the characteristics of the traveler and the chosen destination. To travel to certain regions of the country are required to have been vaccinated against yellow fever at least 15 days prior to departure. Climate

Colombia does not have the four seasons. The regime is bimodal seasons and almost the entire territory two rainy seasons, from April to June and from August to November, and two summer periods presented. Colombian climates can be classified as follows:

Humid tropical climate: it has variations in humidity and high temperatures. The Pacific region is the most representative of this type of weather.
Dry Climate: predominantly in the deserts of high temperatures. La Guajira Peninsula is a good example of this climate in Colombia.
Temperate climate: humid in winter and dry in summer, and in the city of Medellin.
Mountain Climate: varies from cool climate like in Bogota (2,600 m) and then to eternal snows and the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and the Nevado Cocuy in Boyacá.

Suitable clothes

In Colombia all thermal occur from the hot to the perpetual snows. To determine the proper clothing is important to recognize the climate of the destination you have chosen. In hot climates, it is common to use light clothing materials like cotton, in order to remain cool and comfortable. In temperate or cold climates, is the use of traditional clothing that protects the skin from contact of cold air. There, usually wool or waterproof fabrics are used.

Tips

Tips are financial rewards that are given as thanks for good service and the product consumed. In Colombia, for some services, the bill includes 10% of the value to remove. Remember that tipping is entirely voluntary, although its value is included in the bill.
